Happy Spring from warm & humid Orlando! After an unusually cold winter, we’re happy to be warming up again. There’s been quite a lot happening around here from the fall school graduating in February, the winter schools leaving for outreach, to new students arriving for the spring quarter. It’s encouraging to hear the impact that YWAM Orlando continues to have across the globe. Just from the last few months alone, there have been 197 salvations, 903 Bibles distributed, and over 5,000 people ministered to.
We’ve enjoyed having quite a few visitors the past few months. It’s always great seeing familiar faces of friends and family and showing them around our world here. One of my cousins came in February for a tour and to seek God on what was next. We’re happy that she’s decided to come back and is now starting our School of Worship! Another one of my cousins is also here doing her DTS! It was great having our missions pastor from Worship Center, Chris Lautsbaugh, visit us a few weeks ago. We loved giving him a tour of the campus and catching up again.
On a more personal note, recently we’ve felt God has been transitioning me from the landscaping department at YWAM into a role of staff & student care. I’m enjoying getting to know students on a deeper level and sometimes having them to our home for times of refreshment and connecting with them more.
On Easter Day, April 1, our oldest son, Conner, turned 16! It’s hard to believe how quickly the years have gone by. It seems like just yesterday he was our adventurous little guy and now he’s really becoming a young man. We enjoyed a big Easter meal at the YWAM base with our staff friends and some family members that were visiting.
Next week Dale will be flying up to Pennsylvania for a few days to help at our annual YWAM Orlando banquet. It’ll be on April 19 at Shady Maple Smorgasbord at 5:30 pm. You’re welcome to attend to hear more about YWAM and Dale would love to see you there! Tickets are $25 a person. If you’re interested in coming, email Dale at email@example.com and he’ll get you signed up.
